  Stunning Victorian architecture! Brilliant breakfast buffets with a plethora of choices in beautifu rooms! Great position in the city, very central!l Arrived to a great birthday surprise of bubbles, cake, balloon and a hand written note! A gorgeous touch and very appreciated!

  Rooms are smallish! We had booked a twin room and they gave us a double bed. Carpet didn't smell great BUT instantly rectified and changed to another room with great apologies.

  The bedroom we were allocated the bathroom did not have walk-in shower both being in our seventies was difficult in and out of bath. There also was a sloping roof at one end of bed that was dangerous if getting up in night hitting head

  Standard room is small and walls thin. We had noisy neighbours watching TV until 2:30am and talking loudly at 5am.

  The hotel was beautiful. It was very close to many of the main London attractions like Buckingham Palace. The staff were lovely and friendly. The rooms were very clean.   The only thing I would say was a problem was the layout of the hotel. To get to our room, we had to take 2 elevators (one of which was quite small) however, it is an older building so it is to be expected.

• Perfect location but tired old building overpriced.

  Glorious old building right next to Victoria Station.

  Overpriced and tired, chipped paint and old carpets. Reception was a bit shambolic with a long wait.
