The room listing was VERY misleading! Advertised as "Standard Double Lower Level" we expected a small double room on a lower level of the hotel, like the ground or 1st floor. In this case "Lower Level" actually turned out to be the BASEMENT! To make matters worse, the hotel is located directly above the undergroun…

Great hotel with good location for a few nights
8.0I appreciated the very kind and accomodating staff. Also the location is a big PLUS as it is only a 5 minute walk away from Paddington station.
We had the our room in the basement which seems to be right next to the Underground line and was quite noisy every few minutes. But the hotel kindly offers earplugs.

The location was perfect for the Paddington train station and other amenities. The room, whilst compact, was nicely decorated and maintained; the bed was comfortable and the building was quiet at night. Good value and friendly staff.
